Lake City Murder-Suicide: Tina Farmer, 27, and Tyndale Mullins, 19, Found Dead After Multi-Agency Manhunt
Authorities in Columbia County, Florida, have confirmed a tragic murder-suicide that claimed the lives of Tina Farmer, 27, and Tyndale M. Mullins, 19, following an extensive multi-agency search in Lake City.
According to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), deputies were dispatched at approximately 4:07 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026, after a 911 call reported a shooting at a residence on SW Journey Court. Upon arrival, officers found an adult female suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. She was later identified as Tina Farmer.
Witness information allowed investigators to quickly identify a suspect and establish a perimeter around a nearby wooded area. Due to concerns that the suspect was armed, authorities issued a shelter-in-place alert for nearby residents, shared through official channels including social media and emergency management services.
As weather conditions and terrain complicated the search, CCSO requested assistance from several agencies, including the Lake City Police Department, Florida Highway Patrol, Florida Department of Corrections, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office. K-9 units, SWAT teams, and drone operators were deployed as part of the coordinated response.
Shortly after 7:00 p.m., law enforcement located the suspect deceased in a wooded area. He was identified as Tyndale Mullins, a cousin of the victim and a Columbia High School Class of 2025 graduate. Authorities later confirmed the incident was a murder-suicide.
Officials stated there is no ongoing threat to the public and that all next of kin have been notified. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to determine the circumstances leading up to the incident.
The Lake City community continues to mourn this heartbreaking loss as authorities urge anyone with additional information to contact CCSO.
