In Loving Memory of Coach Brandon Troutman
It is with profound sadness that we share the loss of Brandon Troutman, a beloved member of our Wolfpack and the broader Wolverine basketball community. Brandon’s passing shortly after the start of 2026 has left a deep and lasting void in the hearts of all who knew him.
Brandon was much more than a coach, player, or official—he was a friend, a mentor, and a guiding presence on and off the court. Known for his humor, his warmth, and his unique way of connecting with people (yes, even calling friends “Turd” from day one!), he brought joy, laughter, and energy wherever he went.
Beyond basketball, Brandon was a devoted husband to his wife, Veronica; a loving father to his daughters, Brooke and Lily, who were the center of his world; a caring son to Ed (late) and Marsha; and a cherished brother to Autumn. His family was his pride and his joy, and every moment of his life was dedicated to them.
Brandon’s life was intertwined with the game he loved. From playing and coaching at Sheffield High School and in Kane, to serving as a PIAA official, and even providing color commentary as a broadcaster, Brandon’s passion for basketball touched countless players, colleagues, and fans. His legacy lives on in every court he graced, every team he coached, and every life he inspired.
The Sheffield and Kane communities mourn a remarkable man whose heart, dedication, and love for others will never be forgotten. Brandon Troutman will be remembered as a guiding light, a friend, a mentor, and a father who gave everything to the people he loved.
Rest easy, Coach. Your game may be over, but your impact is eternal.
